Cokoladovny a.s. (Cokoladovny) is a leading manufacturer of high quality chocolate, biscuits and other sugar confectionery products. Cokoladovny a.s. owns a number of factories spread throughout the country. The main brands produced by the company are: ORION, SFINX, OPAVIA as well as new brands in cooperation with NESTLE and LU. In 1996 the company introduced new ranges of products called: "Smolicek", "Nove polomacene", "Slane variace", "Mini tatranky" and others. On the Prague Stock Exchange Cokoladovny shares were among the top ten most frequently traded stock in 1996. The company exports their goods mainly to Slovakia and Eastern Europe. Cokoladovny a.s. has one foreign subsidiary in Slovakia. In 1997 the company introduced a quality system in their factories complying with the ISO 9002 Quality Standard. The company won first prize in the food section of the ' Exporter of the Year ' competition. Chocolate and sugar confectionery accounted for 51% of 1997 revenues; biscuits, 45% and other products and services, 4%.
