Ault Foods Limited is Canada's largest fully-integrated dairy processor, with 15 processing plants and 30 outlying distribution depots. The company has 2 operating divisions; refrigerated and frozen products and cheese and butter products. The refrigerated and frozen products group produces and markets fluid milk, cream and mixes for both retail and foodservice customers. The cheese and butter products group processes industrial classes of milk into cheese, butter, milk powders, whey powders and other related products for sale to grocery chains and other food processors. Brand names include Haagen-Dazs, Sealtest, Drumstick and Orco. Refrigerated and frozen products accounted for 54% of fiscal 1996 revenues and cheese and butter products, 46%. The company acquired the cheese division assets of Schneider Corporation and the assets of Northland Ice Cream Distributor Company in fiscal 1996.
