Company Description
George Weston Limited. The Group's principal activities are carried out through three business segments: Weston Foods, Food Distribution and Fisheries. Weston Foods segment includes fresh and frozen bakeries, biscuits and dairy operations. Food Distribution is operated through Loblaw Companies Limited. This segment concentrates on food retailing and also offers non-food products and services. Fisheries segment is in to hatching, growing and processing of fresh farmed salmon in North America and Chile. Food Distribution accounted for 82% of 2002 gross revenues; Weston Foods, 17% and Fisheries, 1%.
