ICS Holdings Limited holds a portfolio of investments in subsidiary, joint venture and associated companies producing and distributing perishable foods requiring controlled temperatures. These foods include red meat and processed meat products, poultry, fresh milk and related dairy by-products, fish and frozen vegetables. It also has interests in tanneries, feedlotting for livestock and professional catering services.During fiscal 1997 the group acquired a dairy in Pinetown and disposed of a 16.7% interest in Fedics and diluted it's interest in Sea Harvest. Also during 1997 the City Deep meat wholesaling operation was closed and disposed of.
