Edison SpA. The Group's principal activities are the production, procurement, sale and distribution of electric energy and natural gas. The Group mainly operates in two sectors energy and hydrocarbons. Energy sector includes production and distribution of Thermoelectricity through combined cycle fed by natural gas hydroelectricity, and wind power energy. Hydrocarbon includes exploration production and distribution of natural gas and crude oil. The Group owns 46 exploitation concessions and 27 exploration permits. It sells gas of its own production and through purchases from other companies and wholesalers. The Group is also involved in water treatment and supply through IWH Group. The Group discontinued its engineering activities in 2006. Electric Energy accounted for 62% of 2006 revenues; Hydrocarbons, 37% and Water Supply & Other, 1%
