Agrana Beteiligungs AG(AGRANA). The Group's principal activities are the production, marketing and distribution of agricultural raw materials. The Group has operations in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. The products of the Group are sugar and related products from cane and beet for the food, beverage and chemical industry. The Group also produces starch from potatoes and maize for the food and beverage industry, bio technical starch products for the paper, textile and construction industries and animal feed. Sugar and starches accounted for 84% of fiscal 2002 revenues; other products, 15% and Services, 1%.
