American Crystal Sugar Company. The Group's principal activity is to process and market sugar, sugarbeet pulp, molasses, concentrated separated by-product, betaine and seed. The Group processes sugarbeets grown by its members in five factories located in the Red River Valley area of Minnesota and North Dakota. The Group operates through two segments: Sugar and Leasing. The Sugar segment is primarily engaged in the production and marketing of sugar from sugarbeets. It also sells agri-products and sugarbeet seed. The leasing segment is engaged in the leasing of a corn wet milling plant used in the production of high-fructose corn syrup sweetener.
