Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative. The Group's principal activities are to produce and market sugar from sugarbeets. The Group also markets certain co-products of the sugar it produces, such as beet molasses and beet pulp pellets. The Group is owned by its member-growers for the purpose of processing sugar beets and marketing sugar and by-products. The products are pooled and marketed through the services of marketing agent under contract. The marketing agents of the Group are United Sugars Corporation, American Crystal Sugar Company, Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative and the United States Sugar Corporation. The Group's beet molasses and beet pulp are also marketed through a marketing agent, Midwest Agri Commodities Company. The membership is limited to sugar beet growers located in the areas of North Dakota and Minnesota. On 30-Apr-2006, the Group acquired the non-controlling 20% interest in its Minn-Dak Yeast.
