Shakarganj Mills Limited. The Company's principal activities are to manufacture, purchase and sell sugar, textile, ethanol, building material and yarn. The Company operates in four segments: Sugar, Textile, Ethanol and Building Material. The Sugar segment products include crystalline, beverage grade sugars and specialty products like brown, caster and icing sugars as well as retail packages. The Textile segment produces and sells cotton. The Ethanol segment produces molasses which is a co-product of sugar manufacturing. The Building Material segment produces residual fibrous and pulp material of sugarcane to make particle board sheets which are used in the furniture and building industry. Sugar accounted for 73% of fiscal 2006 revenues; Textile, 14%; Ethanol, 13% and Building Material, nominal
