Asda Group plc is a retailer of food, clothing, home and leisure products in the United Kingdom. The group is also engaged in property development through it's subsidiary Gazeley Properties Ltd. Asda Stores Ltd operates the Asda supermarket and superstore chain. During fiscal 1996 the group acquired the remaining 50% of the Burwood House Group plc (property investment company) and George Davies Holdings Limited (consultancy services company).
