The principal activities of the Group consists of operation, development, franchising, and licensing of a system of both traditional restaurants which prepare, package and sell a menu of competitively priced food items through dine-in, carryout and some instances drive-thru or delivery services; and non-traditional units which include express units and kiosks which have a limited menu and operate in non-traditional locations like airports, gas and convenience stores, stadiums, amusement parks and colleges, where a full-scale traditional outlet would not be practical or efficient. During 2000, the Company had 1,195 units worldwide. Kentucky Fried Chicken (r), KFC (r), Pizza Hur (r) and Taco Bell (r) are important trademarks to the Company's business. International operations accounted for 29% of 2000 revenues. Restaurant sales accounted for 89% of 2000 revenues and franchise & license fees, 11%.
