Triad Hospitals, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide health care services through hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. It owns and operates in small cities and selected urban markets primarily in the southern, midwestern and western United States. It provides hospital management, consulting and advisory services to more than 180 independent community hospitals through out the United States. These hospitals also provide outpatient and ancillary health care services such as outpatient surgery, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, cardiology and physical therapy. At 01-Nov-2006, its hospital facilities include 53 general acute care hospitals and 12 ambulatory surgery centers with 9,316 licensed beds in the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and West Virginia.
