The Group also provides reimbursement coding services, systems interfacing and equipment for sale and rent. The Group utilizes approximately 9,800 transcriptionists, proprietary software and digital dictation equipment to provide clients with customized solutions to shorten their billing cycles and reduce their overhead and other administrative costs. These services are provided through 89 client service centers nationwide to hospital medical records departments, radiology, emergency rooms, oncology, pathology, pediatrics and cardiology departments, HMO's, physician practice groups and out-patient clinics. The Group is a majority-owned subsidiary of Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV. On 01-Jul-2002, the Group acquired Lanier Healthcare LLC, that provides digital dictation systems and services to the acute care hospital market.
