Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide physician services for newborn, maternal-fetal and other pediatric subspecialty care. The network of the Group consists of 860 affiliated physicians who provide clinical care in 32 states and Puerto Rico, primarily within hospital-based neonatal intensive care units to babies born prematurely or with medical complications. The affiliated neonatal physician specialist staff manages clinical activities at more than 240 hospitals and 86 affiliated maternal-fetal medicine sub specialists provide care to expectant mothers experiencing complicated pregnancies. The network also includes other pediatric sub specialists, including 41 pediatric intensivists, 47 pediatric cardiologists and 16 pediatric hospitalists.
