HCA Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to provide health care services by operating hospitals and related health care entities. The Group's general, acute care hospitals, freestanding outpatient surgery, diagnostic centers and rehabilitation facilities provide the outpatient and ancillary health care services. It also provides services to accommodate such medical specialties as internal medicine, general surgery, cardiology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics and obstetrics, as well as diagnostic and emergency services. As on 31-Mar-2006, the Group operates 176 hospitals and 91 freestanding surgery centers located in 21 states in the US, England and Switzerland.
