LabOne, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to provide risk assessment services for the insurance industry, laboratory testing services for the healthcare industry and substance abuse testing services for employers and third party administrators. The Group operates in two segments: Risk Assessment services and Clinical services. The Risk Assessment services segment provides underwriting and claims support services including teleunderwriting, specimen collection and paramedical examinations, laboratory testing and claims investigation services to the insurance industry. The Clinical services provided by the Group include laboratory testing services for diagnostic and treatment of patients. This segment also provides substance abuse testing provided to employers to support drug free workplace programs. In 2004, the Group acquired Laboratory Operations of The Health Alliance, Northwest Toxicology and Paramedical Service Providers. Risk Assessment Services accounted for 56% of 2004 revenues & Clinical, 44%
