AeroGen, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market pulmonary drug delivery products. The products are used for the controlled delivery of drugs to the lungs. These include hand-held breath-activated inhalers and nebulizers for home and hospital use. The Group's first product is a Portable Nebulizer System marketed under the Aeroneb (R) brand name. Another product, Aerodose (R), allows for the treatment of diabetes by delivering insulin into the bloodstream through the lungs. The initial products of the Group will focus on treating three respiratory diseases, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cystic fibrosis. In addition to respiratory therapy activities, the Group intends to develop pulmonary drug delivery products for systemic drug delivery.
