Aradigm Corporation. The Company's principal activity is to develop advanced pulmonary drug delivery systems for the treatment of systematic conditions as well as lung diseases. It develops novel, hand-held pulmonary drug delivery systems designed to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of drugs. The main product lines of the Company are nebulizers used in hospitals for the treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma, metered dose inhalers used in pulmonary drug delivery, dry powder inhalers to deliver drugs to lung. The AERx Pain Management System, a non-invasive patient controlled pulmonary drug delivery product is used for treatment of chronic and acute pain. The Company has ongoing feasibility studies with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to determine the effectiveness of pulmonary delivery on their approved products.
