Encore Medical Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to design, manufacture and distribute orthopedic devices. It operates through two segments: Orthopedic Rehabilitation Division and Surgical Implant Division. The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Division, provides products such as electrotherapy devices and accessories used to treat pain and restore and maintain muscle function and soft goods products used before and after surgery to assist in the repair and rehabilitation of soft tissue and bone and to protect against injury. The Surgical division offers reconstructive joint products such as hip, knee, shoulder and spinal implants. The products of the group are used primarily by orthopedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals.
