Aearo Corporation. The Group's principal activities are manufacturing and marketing personal protection equipments. The Group operates under three business segments: safety products, safety prescription eyewear and specialty composites. Safety products segment manufactures and sells hearing protection devices, communication headsets, non-prescription safety eyewear, face shields, respirators, hard hats and first aid kits. Safety prescription eyewear segment manufactures and sells products that are designed to protect the eye in the industrial work environment. Specialty composites segment manufactures shock-absorbing, impact-resistant and energy-absorbing materials for noise, vibration and shock control applications. The products of the Group are sold under the brand names AOSafety(R), E-A-R(R) and Peltor(R). On 14-Mar-2003, the Group acquired VH Industries.
