AESCULAP AG, founded in 1867, is the leading manufacturer of surgical and diagnostic medical equipment worldwide. The company's products are used in a wide range of medical disciplines, including general, abdominal, heart-artery-thorax, spinal, neurological and microsurgery applications. AESCULAP is divided into two main divisions: surgical/dental and orthopaedics/traumatology. The surgical/dental division manufactures and markets medical instruments and equipment for the areas of surgery, micro-neurosurgery, endoscopy, laser surgery, sterilisation, hygiene, waste disposal, surgical diagnostics and dental applications.
