Transitional Hospitals Corp (formerly Community Psychiatric Centers) is a leading provider of psychiatric services for adults, adolescents and childern with acute psychiatric, emotional, substance abuse and behavioral disorders. The company offers its services through 28 hospitals in 15 states throughout the United States and Puerto Rico and in 15 hospitals in the United Kingdom. It also provides long term critical care services in twelve states through 14 freestanding hospitals . As of November 30th 1996 the company sold its U.S., Puerto Rico and U.K. psychiatric division and is now primarily a provider of long term acute care services operating 14 hospital in United States. Long term acute care division accounted for 52% of 1996 revenues and psychiatric division, 48%.
