Company Description
Stryker Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market surgical and medical products. The Group operates in two segments: Orthopaedic Implants and MedSurg Equipment. The Orthopaedic Implants segment sells orthopaedic reconstructive, trauma and spinal implants and bone cement. The MedSurg Equipment segment sells powered surgical instruments, endoscopic products, medical video imaging equipment, craniomaxillofacial implants, image-guided surgical systems, hospital beds and stretchers. The Group also provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services, through a network of 487 outpatient physical therapy centers in 31 states and the District of Columbia. The Group has operations in the United States, Europe, Japan and other foreign countries. The Group acquired Sightline Technologies Ltd in 2006. Orthopaedic Implants accounted for 57% of 2006 revenues; MedSurg Equipment, 38% and Physical Therapy Services & Other, 5%
