Choose between a desktop, time clock, web-based or mobile time clock system
- Employee time clock software for your desktop PC lets you track everything from your desktop. Employees can clock in or out from a designated PC using an on-screen time clock system. Reports can be managed from the same PC using an employee time clock manager.
- Web-based employee time clock solutions eliminate the need for in-house equipment or software and can be accessed from any computer with a web connection. That's especially great if your business has complex time and attendance pay policies. Most will integrate easily with QuickBooks or other software. And setup is generally quick, too.
- Mobile or remote systems are especially useful for the construction trades or other businesses that have workers in multiple locations. Employees can enter time remotely via a cell phone, PDA or laptop.
Choices include biometric time clocks, numeric keypad, proximity and swipe card methods to clock in employees
- Biometric time clocks identify employees by fingerprint, voice, hand recognition or other methods. With "hand geometry technology," for example, your hand is your card. Hand recognition can identify an employee in less than a second with high accuracy.
- Numeric keypad systems require employees to enter a code on a keypad and eliminate lost card problems.
- Cards that you provide to each employee can be barcode cards, swipe cards, proximity cards and badge or compact key fob versions of these.
Business Size (Employees)
You'll find systems designed for small business, mid-sized business and enterprise business
- Some systems are geared toward small businesses with just a few workers and up to about 100 employees.
- Others are built for mid-sized companies with as many as 2,500 employees.
- Enterprise solutions target larger businesses that need to manage many employees in multiple locations.
