Barnes Group Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture and distribute precision metal parts and distribute industrial supplies. It operates through three business segments: Barnes Distribution, Associated Spring and Barnes Aerospace. Barnes Distribution segment distributes fast moving consumable repair and replacement products for industrial, heavy equipment and transportation maintenance markets. Associated Spring segment manufactures precision mechanical and nitrogen gas springs, manifold systems and other close-tolerance engineered metal components. Barnes Aerospace segment produces precision machined and fabricated components and assemblies for original equipment manufacturer turbine engine, airframe and industrial gas turbine builders. It operates in 71 locations world wide. In May 2006, the Group acquired Heinz Hanggi. Barnes Distribution accounted for 42% of 2006 gross revenues; Associated Spring, 35% and Barnes Aerospace, 23%
