The electrical product segment manufactures electrical and circuit protection products, plugs, receptacles, lighting fixtures, fuses, emergency lighting, fire detection systems, fittings, enclosures and security products. Tools and hardware products include hand tools, chain and clamps. Cooper serves three major markets: industrial, construction and electrical power distribution. Manufacturing plants are located in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada and other foreign countries. In 2000, the company acquired Eagle Electric, B-Line Systems & three small acquisitions in its Electrical Products segment and one small acquisition in its Tools and Hardware segment. Electrical products accounted for 82% of 2000 revenues and tools and hardware, 18%.
