Measurement Specialties, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to design, manufacture and market sensors and sensor-based products. These sensors measure precise ranges of physical characteristics, pressure, motion, force, displacement, angle, flow and distance. The Group operates in two businesses. Consumer Products business manufactures and markets sensor-based consumer products which include bathroom and kitchen scales, tire pressure gauges and distance estimators. Sensors business designs, manufactures and markets sensors for original equipment manufacturer applications. These products include pressure sensors, custom microstructures, accelerometers, tilt or angle and displacement sensors for electronic, automotive, military and industrial applications. During the year fiscal 2006, the Group acquired MWS Sensorik Gmbh, Polaron Components Ltd, HL Planartechnik GmbH and ATEX. On 04-Apr-2006, the Group acquiredBetaTHERM Sensors and YSI Temperature.
