Scientific Technologies Incorporated. The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and distribute electrical and electronic industrial controls such as machine safety and automation sensing products. It's product lines include safety light curtains, safety interlock switches, safety relays, profiling scanners, factory automation sensors, controls, fiber optics, power monitoring, non-contract ultrasonic sensors and controllers. It's products are supplied to industrial automation, commercial and defense customers. The Group operates through two business segments: Safety products and Automation products. Safety products consist of optical guarding products used to safeguard personnel in manufacturing environments against injury caused by robots and moving machinery. Automation products include photoelectric and fiber optic sensors used for detecting objects in factory automation applications. Safety Products accounted for 85% of 2005 revenues and Automation Products, 15%
