Metrologic Instruments, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and market sophisticated imaging and scanning solutions serving a variety of point-of-sale, commercial and industrial applications. The Group's products are Data Capture & Collection & Industrial Automation/Optical Systems. These scanners rapidly and efficiently read and decode all widely used bar codes and provide an efficient means for data capture and automated data entry into computerized systems. The automatic identification products serve customers in retail, commercial, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and postal and parcel delivery industries. It sells its products through distributors, value added resellers, OEMs and directly to end-users located through out the world. Data Capture & Collection accounted for 81% of 2005 revenues and Industrial Automation & Optical Systems, 19%
