Company Description
Intermagnetics General Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to develop and manufacture super conducting materials, electromagnetic components and cryogenic refrigeration systems. The Group operates in three segments: Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Devices and Energy Technology. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging segment consists primarily of the manufacture and sale of low temperature superconducting magnets, radio frequency coils and low temperature super conducting wire. The Medical Devices segment manufacture and sale MRI compatible patient monitors. The Energy Technology segment develops second generation, high temperature super conducting materials. It exports its products to Netherlands. On 29-May-2005 the Group acquired MRI Devices Corporation. Medical Devices accounted for 54% of fiscal 2006 revenues; Magnetic Resonance Imaging 43% & Energy Technology, 3%
