Sklarny Kavalier a.s. is joint stock company since 1990, based in Sazava. The company's shares have been quoted on Prague Stock Exchange since 1994. Sklarny Kavalier is a manufacturer of glassware for domestic, industrial, technical and laboratory use. The company consists of three divisions and three plants in Votice, Hostomice and Otvovice. The company is committed to quality control management standards ISO 9002 and was certified accordingly in 1995. In the same year Sklarny Kavalier established a new subsidiary in Moscow (Russia), Kavalier Czech Glass s.r.o.. 75.8% of the company's products are exported, mainly to Germany, the Netherlands, France, Poland and other European countries. Sklarny Kavalier a.s. has subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia. Domestic glass kitchenware accounted for 87% of 1996 revenues; technical and laboratory glass, 11% and industrial glass apparatus, 2%.
