Tuscarora Incorporated designs, manufactures and markets interior protective packaging and material handling solutions made from a variety of materials, for a broad range of manufactured products. The company also supplies molded foam plastic and thermoformed components for a large number of industrial and consumer product applications. The principal end-user markets are the high technology, consumer electronics, automotive and major appliance industries. The company has 36 manufacturing facilities of which 25 are mold making facilities. The company's products are marketed to more than 3,600 customers located in the North America and Europe. The company acquired the speciality corrugated containers, heavy wall fabrication and custom wood crating business of Lane Container Company of Dallas, custom wood pallet and container business of Erickson Wood Products of Belmont and interior foam cushion fabricating business of Cushion Packaging Company of Dallas in fiscal 2000. The company also acquired operating assets of the Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee plant of Polyfoam Packers Corporation and 50% interest in an existing Irish company from Hytherm (Ireland) Ltd. in fiscal 2001.
