UFP Technologies, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to design and manufacture a broad range of packaging and specialty foam products. It operates in two segments: Component Products and Packaging. Component products segment uses cross-linked polyethylene foam to provide customers in the automotive, athletic, leisure and health and beauty industries with engineered product for numerous purposes. Packaging segment uses polyethylene and polyurethane foams, sheet plastics and pulp fiber to provide customers with cushion packaging for their products. These packaging products are primarily sold to original equipment and component manufacturers in the computer, electronics, telecommunication, industrial, medical and pharmaceutical markets. It also provides components for medical diagnostic equipment, nail files and other beauty aids and shock absorbing inserts used in athletic and leisure footwear.
