Chlumcanske Keramicke Zavody a.s.(CHKZ). The company manufactures glazed and unglazed tiles as well as raw materials like kaolin, feldspar and other. In 2000 produced 9,734 mil sq.m of tiles. The company main export markets are Poland, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Russia, Latvia and the Ukraine; 61% of 2000 production was exported. CHKZ has only domestic subsidiaries. Tiles accounted for 90% of 2000 revenues; feldspar, 5%; binding agents, 1%; kaolin, 1% and refractory material and other, 3%.
