Gouda Vuurvast Holding. The Group's principal activity is producing refractory materials, which are used for the construction of ovens with very high temperatures. Prior to 1997 the Group's operations were solely based in the Netherlands. Since then the Group established foreign subsidiaries in Belgium (Gouda Vuurvast Belgium BV) in 1997, and, in 1998, in Germany (Gouda Feuerfest (Deutschland) GmbH) as well as England (Gouda Refractories (UK) Ltd.).
