Avenor Inc., formerly Canadian Pacific Forest Products Ltd. is a manufacturer of a wide range of products including newsprint, pulp, white paper, paperboard and packaging and wood products which it supplies to customers in over 40 countries, with the United States being the corporation's largest single trading area. The corporation, in addition to being a leading international marketer of high quality newsprint, is North America's largest supplier of post-consumer recycled-content newsprint and is Canada's largest exporter of market pulp. The corporation is also the largest holder of timber cutting rights in Ontario. Newsprint accounted for 42% of 1997 revenues; pulp, 24%; wood products, 19% and white paper, 15%.
