Buckeye Technologies Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture and distribute value-added cellulose-based specialty products used in numerous applications. Specialty Fibers segment is derived from wood and cotton cellulose materials using wetlaid technologies. Nonwoven Materials segment is derived from wood pulps, synthetic fibers and other materials using an airlaid process. The product lines of the Group include chemical cellulose, customized fibers, fluff pulp and nonwoven materials. Chemical cellulose is used to impart purity, strength and viscosity in the manufacture of diverse products. Customized fibers are used to provide porosity, color permanence, strength and tear resistance in filters, currency paper and personal stationery. Fluff pulp and nonwoven materials are used to increase absorbency and fluid transport in products such as disposable diapers and feminine hygiene products.
