Crown Paper Co.. Crown Paper Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Crown Vantage, Inc. is a producer of value added paper products. The segments in which the company operates are: printing and publishing papers and specialty papers. The printing and publishing papers segment manufactures and markets coated groundwood and uncoated freesheet papers for printing and publishing applications and the specialty papers segment manufactures and sells bleached specialty papers for use in food and retail packaging. The company owns and operates three pulp mills, seven paper mills and one cast coating facility in the United States and two paper mills in Scotland. International and exports revenues accounted for 8.8% and 5.8% of 1999 revenues respectively. Printing and publishing papers accounted for 56% of 1999 revenues and specialty papers, 44%.
