Georgia-Pacific Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture tissue products, disposable tabletop products, containerboard and packaging, building products and paper. The Group operates in six segments. Consumer Products segment manufactures and markets tissue products. Building Products segment manufactures products used in residential, commercial and industrial construction. Packaging segment provides packaging solutions for a wide variety of customers, including the food, consumer products, paper and other manufacturing industries. Bleached pulp and paper segment produces office paper, bleached board, bleached and unbleached kraft paper and pulp. The building products distribution segment sells a wide range of building products manufactured or purchased. The Group operates in the United States and other countries. On 07-May-2004, the Group discontinued the operations of Building Products Distribution segment and non integrated pulp mills.
