Chapelthorpe PLC. The Group's principal activity is manufacturing coloured polypropylene fibre, producing vinyl-base and manufacturing PVC plastisols for the wallcoverings industry. It also manufactures umbrella frames. It operates mainly in Europe and North America. It is organised into three divisions, Fibres, Specialist Coatings and Umbrella Frames. Fibres supplies polypropylene fibre to the automotive, floorcoverings, technical textiles, geotextiles and home furnishing markets. Specialist Coatings supplies vinyl coated paper and plastisols to the wallcoverings industry. Umbrella Frames supplies frames to the sun and sports umbrella markets. Fibres accounted for 72% of fiscal 2006 revenues; Specialist Coatings, 21% and Umbrella Frames, 7%
