The company was incorporated on 25th March 1997 and converted to a public company on 18th February 1998 and was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 31st March 1999. It's shares traded as a linked unit with those of MIH Holdings Ltd. During the the year the company acquired a 50% interest in McGregor BFA (Proprietary) Limited and a 75% interest in The Lot Web Auctions Limited.
