Company Description
Thames Television Plc was the independent television programme contractor for the London region, on weekdays, until December 31st 1992. From that date, due to the expiration of its broadcasting licence and its failure to obtain another one, it has now established itself as the largest independent programme production and distribution company in the United Kingdom. It also has operations in the United States trading under the name of Reeves Entertainment but is currently (as at 05/93) considering the future viability of this venture. Advertising revenue accounted for 66% of 1992 revenues; sale of programmes, 32% and other income, 2%. Thames Television is 59% owned by Thorn EMI Plc.
