Virage, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to provide video and rich media communication software products, professional services and application services. The Group operates through two business segments: Software and related software support services and Application and Professional Services. The Software segment products are a part of Video Application Platform that provides the necessary infrastructure for seamlessly integrating Internet-ready video into an internal or external website. The products include VideoLogger(R) and Media Analysis Plug-ins, Virage ControlCenter(TM), MediaSync(TM), VS Webcasting. The Application and Professional Services segment includes set-up fees, professional service fees, video processing fees, and hosting and distribution fees. The products are sold worldwide to media and entertainment enterprises, corporations and government entities.
