EMAP Plc. The Group's principal activities is that of a media company. It operates principally in the United Kingdom and France. It has five business segments, Consumer Magazines UK and International, Business-to-Business, Radio and TV. Consumer Magazines UK and International publishes a portfolio of consumer magazines principally in the United Kingdom and France, but it also has titles in Australia, the United States and South Africa along with operating licenses for FHM and other titles around the world. Business-to-Business comprises business magazines, events and information products. Events include trade exhibitions, festivals, conferences and awards. Information products focus on retail, construction, public sector, media and automotive. Radio assets comprise 40 local and 8 national stations. TV comprises 7 digital music channels. On 14-Oct-2005, the Group acquired WGSN. Also, in 2005 the Group acquired Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Consumer UK acctd for 45% of fiscal 2006 revenues; Business-to-Business, 30%; Radio, 17%; Consumer International, 5% and TV, 3%
