In October 1998 the company entered into a definitive merger agreement with Clear Channel Communications Inc for a tax free, stock for stock transaction. The company also has a joint sales agreement to sell advertising time for one station in Louisville. The company owns, produces and distributes syndicated programming for radio broadcasting through its wholly owned subsidiary Premiere Radio Networks Inc. The company also owns a television station in the Cincinnati broadcast area where it owns and operates multiple radio stations and one low power television station in Defiance. During the year the company acquired Nationwide Communications Inc.
