PrimaCom AG was formed in December 1998 by a merger of Sueweda Elektronische Medien- und Kabelkommunikations AG and KabelMedia Holding AG. Both companies have been cable television network operators, and together they are the third largest cable TV operator in Germany. PrimaCom provides its services to medium- and small-sized communities within Germany and has had about 919,791 subscribers at the end of 1999. The company has only domestic subsidiaries.
