ENDEMOL Entertainment Holding N.V. is a provider of entertainment through core activities such as the production of TV productions and live entertainment in the field of theater productions, ice shows and events. Endemol emerged from a merger between Joop van den Ende productions and John de Mol Produkties in 1994. The company was floated on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange on 1 November 1996. The company sold its live entertainment activities in fiscal 1999, except its Events Department. This was transferred to Stage Holdings. Television production accounted for 86% of fiscal 1999 revenues; television distribution, 12% and live entertainment, 2%.
