Flextech plc is the leading supplier of basic tier channels to the UK Pay-TV market. The group provides broadcast media activities with investments in satellite, cable and terrestrial television and programming. The group operates within three areas: core business (represents the group's basic channel portfolio); transactional television (represents the investment in home-shopping and interactive television markets) and premium channel (represents the interest in Playboy TV). Some of Flextech programming investments include Bravo, Challenge TV, Living, Trouble, TV Travel Shop, Screen Shop, UK Gold and Playboy TV. Basic channel portfolio accounted for 80% of 1998 revenues; transactional television business, 17% and Playboy TV, 3%.
