BioGaia AB. The Group's principal activities are the research, development and manufacturing of probiotic systems that build health in humans and animals. The products of the Group are based on the lactic acid bacterium Lactobacillus reuteri in combination with delivery systems that make it possible to create products with a long shelf life. Reuteri that has probiotic or health-enhancing effects occurs naturally in the intestinal flora of humans and animals. It inhibits the proliferation of harmful bacteria and promotes the growth of the normal intestinal microflora, thereby strengthening the immune system.
