Imclone Systems Inc. The Group's principal activity is to conduct research and develop therapeutic products for the treatment of cancer and cancer related disorders. The Group's product, ERBITUX(TM) is a therapeutic monoclonal antibody that inhibits stimulation of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) receptor upon which certain solid tumors depend in order to grow. The Group also develops the inhibitors of angiogenesis, which can be used to treat various kinds of cancer and other diseases. The Group performs ongoing research which includes ongoing clinical programs of growth factor blockers, other tumor cell growth inhibitors and angiogenesis inhibitors.
